What is The AMCAT ?

AMCAT is an organized by the Aspiring Minds, which was founded in 2007 by Varun Agarwal and Himanshu Agarwal together.

It has its headquarters in Gurgaon and an office in Bangalore and other offices in various other cities in Indian . AMCAT is  recognized by Various companies like Sonata Software, HCL Technologies, Genpact and InoxApp as a test of employment assessment.

 AMCAT is a computer adaptive test that assesses basic aptitude (English, quantitative ability and logical) and personality from a job detective. It also claims to perform advanced skills assessment for specific roles in the industries like - IT, mechanical, finance, semi-conductor, etc.

 The test is usually conducted in two modules - a compulsory module and an optional module. In compulsory modules, it claims to test aptitude and personality skills, including English comprehension, quantitative ability, reasoning and logical ability.

 In the optional module, it tests job skills according to the future potential of different industries. Based on the AMCAT score, companies that collaborate with AMCAT can hire employees.

AMCAT Syllabus

Aspiring Minds’ Computer Adaptive Test (AMCAT) is a test which is  conducted by the Aspiring Minds Assessment Private Limited which is a full  spectrum of assessments including Languages, Aptitude, Skill and  Personality assessment.

It is recognized by most of the IT and Non-IT  companies In India. Companies will look into your scores along with your resume for the interview call.

What is Good Score in Amcat

The Test is a skill assessment / aptitude test is an overall evaluation on four skill parameters –

English (verbal and communication skills), Logical Reasoning, Quantative Reasoning and domain knowledge. While the first three modules are the common across all student tests, the fourth varies as per your field of study (Engineering, Financial, Management and general purpose) and your discipline in them.

 The evaluation, an adaptive test, ranks your performance in all four based on how you’re performing through it – quicker, correct responses lead to tougher and tougher questions, while incorrect answers lead to easier ones. Your score varies accordingly too. Let’s break up what would considered a ‘good’ score in these fields individually:

The English module

 covers vocabulary, grammar and comprehension analysis. A decent score here would be:
For Engineers – Above 450
For Graduates – Above 400
For MBAs – Above 425

The Logical Reasoning module 

covers Deductive, Inductive and Abductive Reasoning  A good score here would be:
For Engineers – Above 450
For Graduates – Above 380
For MBAs – Above 425

quantitative reasoning module

covers a candidate’s understanding of basic and applied mathematics. Here is what would be considered a good score in this module:

What is a good overall AMCAT score?
Normally, an overall AMCAT ELQ score above 1500 is considered a good score

What is Amcat Exam Fee?

The Amcat exam fee is INR 1110 + GST.The total amount you need to pay is 1298 
(may slightly differ). This comes with a one-year subscription, which means your score would be valid for one year.

Can I get a Job through AMCAT?

Getting a job through AMCAT is one of the best ways of landing fresher jobs, however, it is dependent on how well you approach the exam and the efforts you put after that

Can I take amcat exam from home ?

yes in this year 2020 your can take the exam from your home. go to their website resister, set the date and time and perticipate in the test.
Can I gove AMCAT twice?
Yes you can, you give the exam ,45 days after the first attempt.
