The vacancy is running under the DBT, Govt. of India funded project entitled “Engineering improved siRNA based combinatorial nanotherapeutics for managing metastasis and adaptive resistance in breast cancer treatment” in Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy Laboratory, Indian Institute of Science Education and IISER Kolkata.

The candidates will be appointed for a particular period of Nine (09) months based on the performance and availability of the funds.

PROJECT- JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

Number of Vacancies: 01 Nos.

Required Educational Qualification:

i) M.Sc Chemistry With specialization in organic chemistry, or M.Sc Chemistry with the M.Sc project in the area of organic chemistry is needed or M.Sc in Life Sciences with specialization in Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Human Physiology/ Physiology/ Immunology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Zoology/ Biophysics and with Chemistry as one of the pass subjects.
Candidates who have expertise in Computational Biology and having B.Sc in Physics Hons. and M.Sc in Biophysics or B.Sc in Chemistry Honours and M.Sc in Biophysics can also apply.

ii) Candidate needs to have a strong background in the field of chemistry, especially in peptide chemistry and conformational analysis.

iii) Candidates need to have a valid NET-LS certificate or should have DBT-JRF (category B) certificate or GATE certificate or DST-INSPIRE eligibility document.

Desirable: Prior experience in peptide synthesis, peptide conformational analysis and experience about computational work is required.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.25000 /month.
